Contractual Acceptance of Travel Conditions: Client/s agree that a contractual relationship exists with Globetrotting Gourmet or their designated suppliers on payment and acceptance of monies relating to travel arrangements. Client/s agree that these conditions of travel form part of that contract.  

Associate Operators: Our associates overseas and locals are termed Associate Operators (not Agents). Such centres are not permitted to represent Globetrotting Gourmet in any matter. Should a problem not be satisfactorily resolved locally, clients are required to contact Globetrotting Gourmet IMMEDIATELY using their email address: info@globetrottinggourmet.com Prompt advice is vital.

Health & Vaccinations: It is important that professional medical advice is obtained regarding your destination well before departure. Malaria, hepatitis, tetanus and typhoid can be areas of concern.

Insurance: We require travel insurance. Careful policy reading is important, particularly in regard to exclusions and pre-existing illness.

Visa Requirements: Client/s accepts responsibility that all passports, visas, re-entry, etc. are correct for validity and travel. Asian countries require passport validity of minimum 6 months from date of entry. IMPORTANT: Given name and surname MUST be identical on tickets/documents as shown in passport.

Deposit: US$500. per person payable within 14 days of quote date, and full payment required for early discounts. Reservations are commenced after receipt of deposit. Additional deposits may be required if other operators' arrangements are required. Deposits are non-refundable. Balance due is payable 60 days prior to travel. Auto cancel may apply on all quotes or itineraries if payment is overdue. In the case of full payment, US$500 deposit will be retained in all instances, and cancellations within 60 days prior to the tour incur a 100% charge. (see also "Cancellation" clause below)

Brochures/Web/Itineraries/prices: Prices are usually quoted share twin (2 persons sharing) in US dollars. Prices for single, triple, family or other travel will be quoted by our consultant. Frequently prices are advertised "from $XXX". It is accepted by the client that "from" prices are the minimum available low season/special offers. Our consultant will quote each itinerary according to season/availability. Every effort is made to ensure descriptions and details at the time of issue, but Globetrotting Gourmet reserves the right to change and amend the schedule without prior notice, at near or equal to value of the original. Client recognises and accepts that subsequent changes may occur.

Details on Quotes and Invoices (Extremely Important): Care should be taken in reading details of quotes and/or invoices to confirm that data is exactly as required by the client. A simple spelling, numeric, dates or name error could spoil an entire holiday.

Government Travel Warnings: It is the client's responsibility to be aware of current warnings and advice. Refer to: www.travel.state.gov - www.dfat.gov.au/travel

Itinerary Change: Globetrotting Gourmet and/or Associate Operators may change an itinerary/schedule to achieve sensible parallel to an originally planned tour where local conditions, changed circumstances or safety warrant same. Such changes could occur either prior to departure or during travel. Any change in cost (plus or minus) is chargeable/refundable to the client/s

Documentation (Extremely Important): It is the client/s' responsibility to carefully check all air tickets and travel vouchers are as agreed itinerary. Particular care is required re spelling of names, travel dates and travel data. Should re-issue be necessary due to client error, a re-issue fee is chargeable. It is IMPORTANT that the CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL are read and understood.  

Over-Booking: A tourism trend is the practice of overbooking by airlines and hotels. Client/s accept that any claim arising from over-booking would be made against the airline, hotel or operator concerned, not Globetrotting Gourmet. Without prejudice to the foregoing, Globetrotting Gourmet will take every possible action to protect the client/s' interest should such an over-booking or similar occur.

Taxes & Airline/Airport Charges: Frequently special "from $XXX" prices will be advertised. It is accepted by the client that taxes (government, airline and airport) are additional to these advertised prices (unless shown as inclusive). Due to the changing nature of these charges, it is not practical to include all ports and all dates in advertised material. In booking travel with Globetrotting Gourmet the client agrees to the above.

Errors/Oversight/Responsibility: Client/s' accept that Globetrotting Gourmet does not operate as an airline, hotel or transport provider, etc. All bookings are subject to the terms, conditions and limitations of liability imposed by other service providers. Client/s accept that Globetrotting Gourmet staff and/or associate operators could make an error/oversight affecting travel quote/arrangements. Client/s understands and agrees that Globetrotting Gourmet's obligation is to amend such error or oversight by prompt action/correction. The client/s cannot demand performance of a quote/reservation based on such erroneous calculation/booking. Client's understands and agrees to such limitation of claim as part of Conditions of Travel.

Tour Alternations: Minor alternations, change of departure dates and major alternations may incur a fee. Communication, operator and air ticket re-issue charges are additional.

Cancellation: Must be advised in writing. Deposits are non-refundable. (see DEPOSITS, re extension.) Under 60 days prior to departure up to 100% of our tour price is non-refundable taking into account airline, hotel, overseas ground operator, insurance and local charges.

Definition of Agent: Retail travel agents or associate operators (in Australia or overseas) are not authorised to act as agent to Globetrotting Gourmet. Offer of sale or operation of tours/products does not confer agency status. Client/s agree to the above definition of "agent" and thus the clear area of responsibility is acceptable and binding.

Devaluation & Increases: The client agrees that any cost increase such as currency devaluation, changes in airfares or taxes, hotel/ground rates is payable by the client advised at any time prior to actual tour commencement, whether reservation is deposited or fully paid.  

Refunds: No refund is applicable unless a particular service or suitable alternative is not provided as set out in travel itinerary. Note Errors/Oversights/Responsibility clauses above.

Common Sense: Client/s agree that Common sense/ ordinary care before and during travel must be exercised by the client/s. Globetrotting Gourmet will not be held responsibility for problems, damage or loss of enjoyment brought about by lack of reasonable care, understanding or attention by the client/s. The client/s agree that problems during travel must be advised promptly for rectification. It is agreed that Globetrotting Gourmet is not held responsible for the faults/problems. errors relating to services of other transport companies, hotels, travel firms and others whose activities are independent of Globetrotting Gourmet.
