New Year's Eve in old Rangoon
Our food lover's tour of Burma
FLIGHTS

Please note that holiday air traffic fills up quickly. We recommend you make your flight reservations as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Singapore and Bangkok are the most convenient hubs for travel to and from Yangon/Rangoon in Burma/Myanmar. Consequently, we are offering pre- and post-tour stop-over packages in these two capitals. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS. Additional nights are also available upon request.

Silk Air, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, flies twice daily from Singapore, while Thai Airways and Bangkok Air each fly daily between Bangkok to Yangon/Rangoon. The government carrier Myanmar Air flies from both these cities, plus Hong Kong.

The cheapest flight option is to select Yangoon/Rangoon as your final destination on one ticket, flying Singapore Airlines + Silk Air via Singapore, or alternatively, Thai Airways via Bangkok. Overseas tickets from your city of origin will need to be purchased by you -- either over the internet, or through a reputable travel agent. (Please contact us if you require a local travel agent referral.)

Ensure that you provide us with your origin city and country.) Alternatively, Globetrotting Gourmet sells both one-way or round-trip Bangkok-Yangon/Rangoon fares using Bangkok Air. This is a very reliable carrier that we personally recommend. Because of the greater mileage, separate Silk Air tickets flying Singapore-Yangon will be much more expensive. (Again, we recommend including this segment on yourthrough-fare ticket.)

Once you have confirmed your exact travel dates, we can help you with your pre-and post tour hotel requirements in Bangkok and Singapore. Click here for our Bangkok & Singapore stop over packages. Remember: you lose a day crossing the International Date Line westward from North America to Asia.
